Medical Laboratory Department

Medical Laboratory Department

The Medical Laboratory Department offers comprehensive diagnostic testing services through eight specialized divisions, supported by certified laboratory professionals and internationally accredited quality standards. Our department plays a vital role in accurate diagnosis, treatment planning, and patient safety by delivering timely and precise laboratory results.

Laboratory Divisions

1. Clinical Chemistry

Analyzes chemical components in blood and body fluids to diagnose and monitor conditions such as diabetes, dyslipidemia, kidney function, liver function, cardiac markers, and enzyme levels.

2. Immunology

Performs tests related to the immune system’s response to various infections, including viral and bacterial diseases. Services include hepatitis and HIV testing, hormone level assessments (e.g., thyroid, pregnancy hormone Beta-HCG), cancer markers (e.g., liver, colon), and vitamin level testing.

3. Hematology

Provides blood-related diagnostics, including red and white blood cell counts, bone marrow evaluation, and identification of conditions such as anemia and leukemia.

4. Clinical Microscopy

Examines urine, stool, and various body fluids under a microscope to identify abnormalities such as parasitic eggs and signs of infection or inflammation.

5. Microbiology

Identifies disease-causing microorganisms through culture and sensitivity testing, helping determine the most effective antibiotic treatment for each patient.

6. Blood Bank

Ensures safe blood transfusion practices by matching donor-recipient blood types and conducting compatibility tests. Services include blood typing and other transfusion-related diagnostics.

7. Molecular Diagnostics & Rapid Testing

Uses high-precision molecular techniques such as real-time PCR to detect viral and bacterial genetic material. Known for its speed and accuracy, this service supports early and reliable disease detection.

8. Histopathology & Immunohistochemistry

Offers tissue analysis for cancer diagnosis and special staining techniques, including immunohistochemistry, to support pathological interpretation.
